Watch here – Masaba Gupta’s Heartfelt Birthday Wish For Father Viv Richards Is Everything

Former West Indies cricketer Vivian Richards celebrated his 72nd birthday on Thursday. Richards, considered one of the greatest batsmen of all time, played a key role in the West Indies’ victory in the 1979 Cricket World Cup.

Born in Antigua on March 7, 1952, to Malcolm and Gretel Richards, Vivian developed a passion for cricket at a young age. His brothers, Donlad and Meryn, were amateur cricketers representing Antigua.

From 1984 to 1991, Richards captained the West Indies in 50 matches, becoming the only West Indies captain to win every Test series.

Richards, also known by his nickname “Smokin Joe”, has a child with Indian actress Neena Gupta. Their daughter, Masaba Gupta, is a popular fashion designer.

Additionally, Richards offers commentary for the British Broadcasting Corporation’s (BBC) Test Match Special (TMS) program. He was made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in honour of his services to cricket.

Meanwhile, Fashion designer and actor Masaba Gupta shared a series of posts on her Instagram stories to wish father Viv Richards on his 72nd birthday.

The first image is a throwback one in which child Masaba can be seen looking at her father.

The caption on the picture read, “Happy Birthday from your sonnnnn Drake. Seriously I could cut an album.”

The second picture is from Masaba and husband Satyadeep Mishra’s reception. In the picture, Masaba and Viv Richards can be seen posing together. Masaba simply captioned it “Best.”

The third click is from Masaba’s wedding to Satyadeep Mishra. Masaba wrote one-word caption, “Guy.” Masaba shared another throwback gem from his father’s cricket days.

In the picture, other teammates can be seen cheering for Viv Richards. Masaba wrote, “Ever. I believe I’m the man.” Thanks for making me believe I am the man and the woman all day everyday!”
