WI vs ZIM, Day 02 Highlights; Maiden Test Hundred for ‘Tage’ Chanderpaul as West Indies openers remain unbeaten at stumps in Bulawayo on day two

The West Indies openers continued unabated today as they reached 221/0 on Day 2 of the 1st Test against Zimbabwe, at Queens Sports Club, Bulawayo – Tagenarine Chanderpaul 101* and Kraigg Brathwaite 116* the not out batters.

After getting delayed due to rain, day 2 of the first Test match has finally begun. West Indies batters looked to continue their dominance in the game.

Day 1 of the 1st Test between Zimbabwe and West Indies was abandoned by rain after Windies had made bright start to their innings.

Opting to bat first Chanderpaul and Brathwaite scored unbeaten centuries and put together 221 stands for the opening wicket.

The rain came down 30 minutes before the scheduled tea interval but stopped after some time.

However, It came back again after all the covers had been removed and the ground was being readied for play to begin. There was no further play once rain down for the second time.

West Indies began Day 2 of the first Test against Zimbabwe from 112/0 at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo on Sunday.

The first day ended on an abrupt note after rain played a spoilsport and early stumps had to be taken.

Currently, Tagenarine Chanderpaul (101*) and Kraigg Brathwaite (116*) are standing unbeaten at the crease.

On the other hand, Zimbabwe eyeing their first wicket of the match and would look to redeem themselves on Day 3.
