Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) captain Kieron Pollard performed an El Dorado celebration during the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2024 after taking four wickets against St Lucia Kings at Brian Lara Stadium in Trinidad on September 24.
The response came after Pollard claimed his fourth victim in the final over of St Lucia’s innings. The medium pacer got Faf du Plessis, David Weise, Roston Chase and Sedrack Descarte out in that match.
He returned the impressive figures of 4/38 in his four overs. For the uninitiated, El Dorado is a gunpoint gesture that has come back into vogue following Turkish Olympian shooter Yusuf Dikec won a silver medal in the 2024 Paris Games.
In a post on Instagram, CPL’s official account stated:
“Pollard, the sharp shooter.”
