West Indies wicket-keeper batter Nicholas Pooran and former SRH player made his IPL debut in 2017 for Mumbai Indians and so far played 47 IPL matches for various teams and scored 912 runs which include 4 half-centuries.

Pooran was bought by the Mumbai Indians team for the 2017 IPL for INR 30 lakhs but didn’t play any matches in the whole season. Pooran went unsold in the 2018 IPL auction after setting his base price at INR 50 lakhs.

Following a successful BPL season(2018-19), Pooran was brought by PBKS for INR 4.2 crore for IPL 2019 season.

The southpaw thanked the LSG for choosing him in the auction and posted a video on his Twitter account expressing his pleasure.

Pooran played for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2022 season after being picked up in the mega auction for INR 10.75 crores. The franchise, however, released the wicketkeeper-batter ahead of the mini-auction.

In his last season with SRH, Pooran scored 306 runs from playing 14 matches at an average of 38.25.

Though CSK made the opening bid, Delhi Capitals fought so hard to bag the service of Nicholas Pooran but ended up losing to LSG at the price of INR 16 crore.

Pooran has also played for Punjab Kings. The West Indies player averages 26.06 with a strike rate of 151.24 over his four seasons in the tournament.

While playing in the Abu Dhabi T10 2022, where he also ended as the top run-scorer, Pooran amassed an astounding 345 runs from 10 matches, indicating that he may be on the mend. He had an astounding strike rate of 234.
