IND vs WI 2022, McCoy’s 6-Wicket Haul Helps West Indies Bowl Out India For 138 In 2nd T20I

After a three hour delay, the second T20I match at St Kitts Warner Park saw light of the day when both the teams arrived at the ground.

 

A depleted West Indies team aiming for a much-needed win today (August 1) in the second T20I against India.

India had to bat first after losing the toss and were off to a disastrous start as they lost skipper Rohit Sharma for a duck.

But Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer counter attacked as India reached fifty within the first powerplay.

Nonetheless, McCoy got rid of the pair and India started to lose wickets on regular intervals. Pandya was the top scorer with 31 runs.

Obed McCoy delivered the best ever performance by any West Indies’ bowler in T20Is as he picked up a 6-wicket haul to bowl out India for 138/10 in 19.4 overs.

Obed McCoy struck on the first ball of the innings with skipper Rohit Sharma’s wicket and went on to pick up 6 wickets in 4 overs with a maiden, conceding 17 runs.

Jason Holder picked up 2 wickets while Alzarri Joseph and Akeal Hosein managed 1 wicket each.
