Some changes in the West Indies series

The West Indies are scheduled to leave for India in January for six limited overs matches.  There will be three ODIs and three T20I matches.

However, previously unofficial sources said that the high corona distribution in the country will make some changes in the tournament.  Earlier, it was decided to hold 06 matches in six venues.

The three ODIs were scheduled to be played in Ahmedabad, Jaipur and Kolkata.  Twenty20 matches were also scheduled to be played at Cuttack, Visakhapatnam and Thiruvananthapuram.

However, according to the latest plans, all the matches will be played in two stadiums with the aim of maintaining a strong bio-bubble of the Indian authorities.  All three ODIs are likely to be played in Ahmedabad and the Twenty20 matches are likely to be played in Kolkata.

The first match, which was scheduled to start on January 16, is likely to be postponed to January 15 with some changes in the Twenty20 tournament.  The other two matches, however, will be played on the 18th and 20th.

The touring West Indies team will reach Ahmedabad on January 1 and will have to undergo a mandatory quarantine until February 3.  Then there will be two training sessions on February 04 and 05.  The first ODI will be played on February 06. The second and third ODIs will be played on January 9 and 12
