The first Test between the Australian women’s team and the Indian women’s team is currently underway. Indian opener Smriti Mandana scored a valuable century in the day-night Test.
At the end of the day, India scored 132 runs for the loss of one wicket while Smriti Mandana was unbeaten on 80 runs. Smriti Mandana completed her maiden Test century today with 18 fours and one six off 170 balls.
Mandana became the first woman to score a century in a Test match for India during the day. It also became the first Test century by an Indian cricketer on the Australian field.
Ashley Gardner finished the innings with opener Mandana. At stumps, Smriti Mandana faced 216 balls and scored 127 runs with 22 fours and one six. This score also became the highest score of her Test career.
