Ottis Gibson set to quit as Bangladesh pace bowling coach and takes New role with Multan Sultans

Ottis Gibson has decided not to renew his contract as bowling coach, Bangladesh Cricket Board cricket operation chairman Jalal Yunus has confirmed.

“Ottis Gibson didn’t want to renew his contract which we accepted,” Jalal Yunus, BCB’s cricket operations committee chairman said

He will finish his two-year stint on January 20 and set to join the Pakistan Super League (PSL) side Multan Sultans as an assistant and fast bowling coach start on January 27

Gibson replaced South African Charl Langeveldt as Bangladesh’s pace bowling coach in 2020, after working as head coach of South Africa and West Indies. He also had stints with England as a bowling coach.

Former West Indies pacer, Gibson, played two Tests and 15 ODIs between 1995 and 1999. He featured in 177 first-class matches where he bagged 659 wickets and scored 5604 runs.
