Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Tuesday defeated Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by 18 runs in Match 31 of IPL 2022 at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.
Sent into bat, RCB scored 181 runs for the loss of 06 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Faf du Plessis slammed a brilliant 96 off 64 balls as RCB recovered from a top-order collapse to post 181 for six against LSG.
RCB were earlier reeling at 62/4 before Du Plessis and Shahbaz Ahmed (26) added 70 runs for the fifth wicket.
Sri Lankan Chameera took two wickets for LSG and West Indies’ Jason Holder took 2 wickets for 25 in his four overs.
Chasing a target of 182, LSG were able to score only 163 runs for the loss of 08 wickets in 20 overs. Krunal Pandya scored 42 runs. Jason Holder scored 16 off 09 balls.

In the 5th over of the First inning’s Holder caught a superb Catch, the ball went in the short third-man region. Jason Holder dived towards his left and plucked an amazing catch to end Maxwell’s innings. He had to depart after scoring 23 runs off 11 balls.
“Yeah, funny enough, I went to quinton de kock. the only two people I take it, me and him. Not so sure about quinton, but yeah, it was good to hold on to that one.” holder said
