James Adams picked his all-time XI including 4 West Indian players, check full list HERE

James Adams is a Jamaican cricketer who has represented the West Indies in his career as a cricketer as well as a captain. He is also a prolific left-handed batsman, left-arm spinner, and especially the best fielder at Gully. Adams has represented West Indies in 54 Tests and 127 ODIs where he has scored 5216 runs and taken 70 wickets.

The former captain shared his all-time XI with the YouTube channel at England’s Lord’s Cricket Ground, which includes four West Indies players, one each from England, India, South Africa, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, Pakistan, and Australia.

Jimmy chose England’s Graham Gooch and West Indies’ Desmond Haynes as his all-time xi openers. As well as For number three he named Sir Viv Richard. He said,

He named another West Indies player for the No. 4 position. That was Prince of Trinidad Brain Lara. Jimmy statistically introduced Lara as the best batsman ever produced in West Indies against to spin.

“followed by the Prince of Trinidad, Brian Lara, statistically the best West Indian batsman best of Spin, probably that I’ve ever seen.”

Also, India’s little master Sachin Tendulkar was named as number 5, and South Africa’s best all-rounder Jacques Kallis was number 6, and he mentioned that Kallis is his a fast bowler.

“Number six, I’m going to have my all-rounder Jacques Kallis, over ten thousand test runs and 200 and quite a few test wickets. He would also be one of my seam attacks.”

Sri Lanka’s Kumar Sangakkara was named number 7 and said that Sangakkara is the best batsman in the world and the best wicket-keeper in the world. So he said that he will keep wickets for his Xi.

Jimmy Adams strengthened his bowling line-up with three legendary fast bowlers and one greatest spinner. New Zealand’s Richard Hadlee, Pakistan’s Wasim Akram, and West Indies’ Malcolm Marshall were the fast bowlers and Shane Warne was the only spinner.

“I have my three semers. I have Richard Hadley. I have Wasim Akram, who is to me the best and most gifted fast bowler of my generation, followed closely by Malcolm Marshall, the best West Indian fast baller of my generation. And to close it all Shane Warne Pretty easy selection. Best spinner.”
