“I feel good about promoting Jamaican culture,”- Chris Gayle is shooting a new music video in Dubai.

West Indies’ devastating opening batsman Chris Gayle shoots a music video in Dubai with Indian artist Arco.

The occasion was a video shoot for a new song in collaboration with an artist in India to be released in April. Shawn ‘Contractor’ Edwards, executive producer of the Tropical House album series, explained.

“Chris Gayle spent two days shooting a music video in Dubai with Indian artist Arko who reached out to him after seeing the success of the album Tropical House Cruises to Jamaica: The Asian Edition which Chris Gayle headlines. The video was shot in the desert as well as in the city with the Burj Khalifa, with the world’s tallest building in the background.”

Commenting on this, Jamaican player Chris Gayle (universe boss) says that he is happy to promote Jamaican culture to the Middle East and India.

He has been photographed standing on miles of sand, dressed as a sheikh, interacting with camels and herders, proudly waving his Jamaican flag.

“I feel good about promoting Jamaican culture to the Middle East and India. It was interesting in the desert with the camels and horses and my Jamaican flag. Arko was really fun to work with. We have not named the song yet as we are adding some final touches to the production.”

Trained at Kolkata National Medical College, Arko left the medical profession to pursue a career in the Bollywood film industry as a music director and singer-songwriter.

He told dailypioneer.com in a 2015 interview that he gave up medication because it was difficult to carry art with pressure.

“I don’t like to work under pressure and that’s why I left medicine. Art can’t be created made under pressure. You need inspiration and creativity which require time. I believe songs should be created such that listeners feel the lyrics.” (All information from Jamaica The Gleaner.)
