Here is the Under-25 World Test XI named by Wisden Magazine. Includes two West Indies.

The world famous magazine Wisden Cricket magazine named their Under-25 World Test XI team a few days ago. It eligible players who are 25 years of age or younger on July 31, 2022.

Their Test team included two players each from West Indies, India and Pakistan, as well as one each from Sri Lanka, England, Australia, South Africa and Bangladesh.

01 Abdullah Shafique – Pakistan

22-year-old Shafiq has played 07 Test matches so far, where he has scored 736 runs at an average of 66.90. It is remarkable that he started his Test career by scoring a century or a half-century six times in his first seven Tests. Recently, his unbeaten 160 against Sri Lanka in Galle was the eighth highest ever in a successful fourth innings chase.

02 Shubman Gill – India

22-year-old Gill has played 11 Test matches for India so far. There, 579 runs have been scored with an average of 30.47. He was the player of the tournament in the 2018 Under-19 World Cup and has now struggled to secure a permanent place in India’s Test XI. 03 Pathum Nissanka – Sri Lanka

04 Ollie Pope – England

07 Joshua De Silva – West Indies

08 Marco Jansen – South Africa

The South African left-arm fast bowler has taken 28 wickets in 05 matches so far. He was a revelation in South Africa’s surprise series win over India earlier this year, taming India’s star-studded line-up with sharp leaps from his 6ft 7in frame.

09 Mehidy Hasan Miraz – Bangladesh

The 24-year-old Bangladeshi spinner is already Bangladesh’s third leading wicket-taker in Test cricket and is on his way to breaking all sorts of Bangladeshi records. Mehidy has taken 135 wickets in 35 matches with eight 05 wickets and Having scored over a thousand runs, he has already even got a Test century to his name.

10 Shaheen Afridi – Pakistan

The 22-year-old Shaheen has already dominated all formats and is currently ranked third in the world in the Test format. Last year, Shaheen managed to take 47 wickets in 9 matches in Test cricket. In total, he has taken 99 wickets in 25 Test matches.

11 Jayden Seals – West Indies
