Nestled at 26 Block (1) Kilcoy, Chesney, Corentyne in Berbice, the store promises to be a haven for cricket enthusiasts. Chattergoon shared his enthusiasm with Chronicle Sport, revealing that the store will primarily feature cricket gear, aptly named after his illustrious playing number, 65, which he donned while representing both Guyana and the West Indies on the international stage.
Shoppers can expect a wide range of renowned brands, including SG, CA, Arshak, MRF, DSC, and SS Ton, ensuring they have access to top-quality equipment.
A technically adept left-handed opener, Chattergoon made his Test debut against Sri Lanka in April 2008, after a string of impressive performances at the domestic level.
Despite a hiccup in the second innings of his debut, he showcased his potential with a worthy 46 in the first innings against a formidable Sri Lankan attack led by the likes of Chaminda Vaas and Muttiah Muralitharan.
His grit was on display during the series against Australia, where despite battling injury and needing crutches just the day before, Chattergoon demonstrated his resilience by taking to the pitch to contribute valiantly in a challenging chase.
