Former all-rounder Dwayne Bravo joined the young cricketers of Badri’s Sports and Education Academy (BASE) and shared his thoughts with the children.

The two-time World Cup winner, who recently paid a surprise visit to the Brian Lara Cricket Academy camp in Tarouba, interacted with the enthusiastic boys and girls and gave a motivational message to the junior players.

There he talked about his father enrolling him in the training school at the age of 5 and gaining their trust from an early age.

“My dad enrolled me to the Harvard coaching school as a five-year-old. They made tremendous sacrifices for me to have an opportunity for structured training.”

“I committed even from that tender age to ensure I repay their faith in me and make them proud. I think I was able to do that in my career.”

A standout player for West Indies, Bravo has amassed 2,200 runs and 86 wickets in 40 Tests, while the all-rounder has amassed 2,968 runs and 199 wickets in 164 ODIs.
