In the 2nd innings, the Fortune Barishal got off to a great start through left-arm pacer Shafiqul Islam & right-arm quick Alzarri Joseph, as they rocked the Dhaka batting by getting rid of four batters cheaply.
But then came some solid rear-guard action from Shuvagata Hom & Mahmudullah with the bat, as they batted sensibly together by both rotating the strike & putting the loose deliveries away. The Barishal fielding too was put under pressure & it wilted.
After the fall of Shuvagata Hom’s wicket, Andre Russell came out to bat & took the game away from the opposition in his familiar batting style! It took only 3 overs for the pair of Russell & Mahmudullah to turn the match Dhaka’s way as the batting onslaught was too hot to handle for the fielding side.
